We’re half way into our summer 2019 programme and what a summer it’s been so far!

This year we decided to trial plant sales and extended opening hours and we’ve had a hugely positive response. Lots of you have been to visit us on Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays and taking home some lovely plants, seeds and cut flowers. We’re open Tuesday 11am-5pm, Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm until the end of the Summer. Refreshments available in the garden room.

We’ve also had our first presence at local farmers markets and fairs around the Wirral, taking in Hoylake, West Kirby, Heswall and Thornton Hough. We had edible herbs and plants for sale and enjoyed introducing new Fieldcrest friends to what we do.

This weekend we have our penultimate scheduled course where we’ll be teaching about growing your own cut flowers. It’s the second year we’ve used our cutting garden to supply our farm gate flowers so we’re excited to share what we’ve learnt and encourage more people to grow their own!

Our final scheduled class for the summer (but not the last altogether as we have some bespoke, bookable courses available on request) will be Baking with Herbs on 24th August – there are still places available but book quickly if you want to come along.

Happy Gardening!

Chris
