Plan and plant your own garden borders

4 week course, Thursdays 1pm – 3.30pm, starting Thursday September 15th. £60 for 4 sessions, including tea and cake .

This course is aimed at the novice gardener who wants to make the most of planting in the garden -and help you to minimise making those costly mistakes!

• Week 1. Plant identification, annuals, biennials, perennials, bulbs, shrubs and trees. Gardening styles. Starting a wishlist of plants
• Week 2 Your garden characteristics and soils. Measuring and preparing borders
• Week 3 Choosing the right plants for your borders, planting choices and combinations
• Week 4 Putting the plan together – starting to draw up a plan of at least one border area, maintenance plans
