Garden Photography for DSLR Users

£65.00The course is intended for: people with DSLR cameras who know how to use them in Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual Modes.
Do you enjoy taking photos of gardens and plants? Are you familiar with how to use your camera’s settings creatively? Then let professional photographer Joe Wainwright take your garden photography to the next level, with lots of information and practical guidance on how to spot photographic opportunities in the garden, improve your composition and create the perfect final image in software such as Lightroom and Photoshop. Delegates will also be able to try out their new-found skills during a practical session in the beautiful Fieldcrest Gardens.
Some of the topics covered during the day will be:
- Achieving great composition
- Creative techniques
- Making the best use of different lighting conditions
- Macro photography for plant portraits
- How to create the best possible garden image in post production
The course takes place between 10.30am and 3.30pm, with tea/coffee on arrival and during the day. Sandwiches and cakes will be served at lunchtime.
Please note:
- The gardens at Fieldcrest will be used during the day, so please come prepared for outdoor work.

Course Tutor Profile:
Joe is a highly experienced professional photographer and member of the Garden Media Guild and the Professional Garden Photographers’ Association. Based in North Wales, his work has been used by the National Trust, tourist boards and local authorities, as well as gardens across Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
