Cooking with Herbs with Hilary Finney

£40We are delighted to welcome Hilary here to demonstrate how to make dishes using a variety of herbs, using many grown at Fieldcrest. During the demo, Chris will talk about growing and picking the herbs grown here at Fieldcrest and we will then enjoy a lovely ‘herby’ lunch. There will be time after lunch to look around the herb garden.
Course Tutor Profile: Hilary is originally from the Wirral but now runs an excellent cookery school at Harmony House, outside York. Hilary has worked extensively as a chef, caterer and teacher and also has a cookery spot on Radio York. Phil and I enjoyed attending one of her informal and friendly courses and we look forward to welcoming her to Fieldcrest.
Hilary will show us how to make some or all of:
- Chimmichurri seasoning for steak
- Cajun seasoning with oregano
- A smoked salmon and dill mousse which can also be made into a cheesecake
- Mushroom, thyme and lemon linguine with rocket
- Basil and mint chicken and mango wraps
- Lemon balm and meringue parfait/ semifredo
- Garlic rosemary focaccia / lemon and rosemary or thyme shortbread biscuits
