Growing and arranging your own flowers

If you would like to grow your own flowers and foliage but need some advice about how to do it, this course will show you how. We will take you through the process of planning, growing and harvesting to fill your home with lovely home grown flowers.

The day lasts from 10.15 – 14.15 with tea/coffee on arrival, a morning break with tea and biscuits and a tasty lunch. Each session will last for approximately 1 hour and there will be plenty of opportunity to explore the gardens.

• Arrive 10.15am for tea/coffee
• Session 1: This will cover what to grow to have flowers and foliage available throughout the year. Designing and planting a cutting area suitable for your own garden.
• Break for tea/coffee and homemade biscuits
• Session 2: How to grow, maintain and harvest your flowers. We will look at ‘cut and come again’plants and see how to sow and grow these and other flowers. Everyone will pick and create a small hand tied arrangement.
• Homemade lunch featuring our home grown produce.
