At last the garden and cutting patch is really quite colourful. It is lovely just to wander around the garden cutting a few plants here and there. There’s no need to make a ‘proper’ arrangement, just gather the flowers and some foliage up and put them in a small, dainty vase. Here is a photo of a small posy from the garden, including dwarf narcissi, pink Vinca (can use lots of this foliage as a mad spreader), Rhododendron, Camellia, Hellebore (including a beautiful double green one), Hyacinth ,Polyanthus and Cherry Blossom. You don’t need a special ‘cutting garden’ for any of this as you are just taking one or two flowers – what can be prettier?
