You can find us on Thornton Common Road, Wirral, CH63 0LT
We are half way along the easterly section of Thornton Common Road, between Wirral Rugby Club and Mere Brook House.
Turn into the main driveway at the Fieldcrest Garden sign. The garden and garden room are accessible via the path to the right of the main house.
Just minutes from junction 4 of the M53, we are easy to get to from all parts of the Wirral, 25 minutes from Chester and just 20 minutes from Liverpool.
Travelling from M53 junction 4, take the exit marked Clatterbridge and follow the road straight ahead, continuing ahead at the Drayton Motors roundabout. At the next roundabout, turn left (marked Raby Mere) and follow Thornton Common Road for 200m until you see our sign on the right hand side.
We have on site parking for six cars (by the Fieldcrest sign). Turn into the driveway by the main house to park.
Further parking is available on the road opposite the garden – much of the road is double-yellow lines, but there are several sections near to the entrance which are not.
Please take care when crossing the road from your car to the garden -while it isn’t a busy road cars may approach quite quickly.
On some occasions extra parking will be available in Wirral Rugby Club overflow car park opposite the garden – there will be a sign indicating when the overflow car park is open.
The 487 Arriva Bus runs locally and stops 0.3 miles away on Thornton Common Road. The closest train stations and Spital or Bromborough, both served by regular Merseyrail services. Please be aware that the only access on foot is along Thornton Common Road which does not have a pavement for pedestrians.
The majority of our garden and facilities are on one level, accessible via gravel and grass paths. We have a W/C on site for guests.
