Fieldcrest Garden owner and Head Garden Chris Davies is an experienced speaker and teacher. She loves to share her gardening knowledge with a range interesting and inclusive talks for all types of audiences.

Often booked months in advance, Chris delivers talks to groups across Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales and has been welcomed by gardening groups, WI’s, U3A and lots more.

Specialist bookable talk topics include:

Making a Garden. Fieldcrest was originally a soft fruit farm and this powerpoint presentation charts the changes that Chris and Paul have made to their 1 1/3 acre garden over the past 15 years, explaining their design and planting choices over the years and offering tips on how to design your own garden.

Grow your own flowers and foliage for arranging. Chris has a passion for growing flowers and foliage and has had a ‘cutting garden’ for over twenty years. For summer talks Chris brings a wide variety of fresh cut plants to demonstrate what plants can be grown and how to grow and condition them. In winter the plant material is more limited so there is an additional powerpoint presentation. Chris contributes bunches of what she has brought to the club, which can be raffled or purchased.

The Scented Garden. Scent is often overlooked in the garden, yet there are many scented and fragrant plants that are very garden worthy. Chris will bring a selection of scented plants to talk about and deliver a powerpoint presentation.

The talks last approximately 1 hour at competitive rates.

Please contact Chris on 0151 3348878 or email [email protected] to discuss.

Thank-you for coming to speak to us yesterday evening. I have your flowers in a vase in this room and the colours are glorious. Thank-you for grouping the flowers by type, it showed what a great variety you have and skill at growing to inspire us to a wider choice in our own gardens. We hope you can come back to speak to us again next year” – Wallasey Gardening Society, April 2019

“We all thoroughly enjoyed your entertaining talk and demonstration last evening. Full of interesting tips and stories based on your own garden experiences and well illustrated with your pictures. Thank you so much.
I will be in touch with you to see when you are available in 2020.
