Fruit, berries and pies

This year the fruit in the garden is wonderful – at least there’s one advantage to all the rain we’ve had! The apples and crab apples have been prolific on the fruit trees in our mini-orchard, and the late raspberries and blackberries (which grow wild in the hedge) have been full of fruit. Plants for Bees

SEPTEMBER 2019 NEWSLETTER August was a busy month here at Fieldcrest with plenty to do in the garden and of course our “Baking with herbs” class. We were fully booked and had a great mix of attendees who were a pleasure to have with us and hopefully learnt a lot! Thanks to my daughter, Sarah, for helping out. I also attended Neston market this month with my scented plants and herbs, which was very enjoyable and nice chatting to all the customers. Nursery Opening Hours and Course Updates

We’re half way into our summer 2019 programme and what a summer it’s been so far! This year we decided to trial plant sales and extended opening hours and we’ve had a hugely positive response. Lots of you have been to visit us on Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays and taking home some lovely plants, seeds and cut flowers. We’re open Tuesday 11am-5pm, Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm until the end of the Summer. Refreshments available in the garden room. New for 2019! Boutique Nursery

NOW OPEN! Visit Fieldcrest to buy scented plants, cut flowers and plants for wildlife from our boutique plant nursery on the Wirral from 26 April 2019. To keep our large country garden and kitchen potager well stocked, we grow lots of our own plants in our nursery beds and polytunnel and now we’re giving you the opportunity to take some of them home!
